imperfecta is a concept and gallery created by Studio Loi LLC). While it was imagined and dreamt decades ago, it officially opened in 2023. Our driving belief is that nothing is perfect and that imperfections are what makes humans human. We collect, share and sell art that reflects our beliefs as well as design artefacts and wondrous heirlooms that bring beauty wherever they go.

Imperfecta provides art as well as designed or nature-created pieces to delight and create a sense of wonder. We prioritize quality, uniqueness, diverse cultures and underrepresented artists and designers to bring value and a feeling of community participation. We ship through USPS and it typically takes 3 to 5 days to process. Occasionally, we may opt to use a different carrier at no additional cost to you. If different shipping accommodations are needed please reach out at imperfecta@studioloi.xyz. We cannot ship to post office boxes. ​ We guarantee to meet our shipping promises in getting your package to the carrier but shipped items are considered F.O.B. and delays by the carrier or for other reasons beyond our control must be resolved between the purchaser and the carrier. To minimize waste, we use biodegradable packing materials and/or reuses shipping materials whenever possible. As always, please call us if you have any questions.

While our goal is to ensure you feel delighted about your purchases, we recognize that it is not always possible because of issues related to the shipping company or other unforeseen reason. If that was to happen, we are here to help. ​ If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days from the ship date at imperfecta@studioloi.xyz so we can discuss next steps given your specific context. We do not consider return requests after that timeframe. ​ If we agree to a return, you will have the option to choose between a store credit or a refund. If the item was damaged during shipping or you received the wrong item, include photos showing the issue and a brief explanation. We retain the right to refuse your request if the provided documentation is insufficient -- please ensure you take clear, timestamped photos when you unbox the purchase. Return shipping fees will be paid by the purchaser unless the reason for the return is the fault of Studio Loi (e.g. incorrect item shipped) or the shipping company (e.g. broken in shipping). We accept all major credit cards and cash (on site only). Taxes will be calculated at checkout depending on your state and local tax laws. ​ By making an online purchase you have accepted our terms and conditions and warrant that: 1. You are the legal cardholder and/or authorized user, 2. All the credit card information you provide is - to the best of your knowledge - correct, complete, true, and free from fraudulent data, 3. Charges will be honored by your credit card company, and 4. You will pay incurred charges at the posted prices, including any applicable taxes, shipping and handling fees (see Return Policy).

We are open to installments to help you grow your collection. There are no interest or service fees for this service. Here is how it works: you make an initial deposit (minimum price to be agreed with us) and then spread the balance over a predetermined number of months (not to exceed 3 months). Of course, you are welcome to pay off the remaining balance sooner than scheduled. ​ When you pay the initial deposit, imperfecta will reserve the piece for you until you pay it in full. Payments can be made via cash (on site only), PayPal or credit card. Once the piece is paid in full, it can be picked up or we can deliver it (buyer is responsible shipping fees). In the unlikely cases where the balance is not paid by the agreed timeline, imperfecta will keep the piece as well as whatever amount has been paid to that date.
