The landscape is painted from a photo taken by the artist, while adventuring in the PNW, of the sea dunes on Manzanita beach on a cloudy day. She then drew the Elk and etched them into the plexi by hand. She hopes to convey both the beauty of our natural world and the urgency that we need to possess to protect it.
